Assistive Technology Training - Maryland Agencies

Maryland Technology Assistance Program - The Maryland Department of Disabilities (MDOD) is responsible for coordinating and improving the delivery of services to individuals with disabilities in Maryland. By working collaboratively with all State government agencies, MDOD provides advocacy and guidance to ensure that State entities deliver services in the most integrated settings possible, develop consistent policies affecting those with disabilities, and consider the diverse needs of all when making decisions that impact Marylanders.

Technology Financial Loan Program - The Assistive Technology Loan Program helps Maryland residents with disabilities and their families qualify for low-interest loans to purchase equipment that enables them to live, work, and learn more independently.

Maryland Relay is administered by Telecommunications Access of Maryland (TAM), a State agency that provides equipment and services for Marylanders who have difficulty using a telephone. Maryland Relay is a free public service that enables people who cannot use a standard telephone to make and receive calls.

Maryland Transitions - Resources, information, and tools to help teens, families, schools, and communities to prepare teens with disabilities for future possibilities.

Maryland Department of Rehabilitative Services - In order to be eligible for DORS services, you must have a physical or mental disability that seriously affects your ability to work, and you must need employment rehabilitation services in order to get or keep a job. If you receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), you are presumed eligible for DORS services.
