Upskill and Uplift the Future Workforce
January 6 - February 28, 2025
Times are changing, and so are employer expectations. The traditional office is being replaced by remote, hybrid, or satellite work environments. In this dynamic landscape, libraries are not just keeping up, but leading the way in providing resources to help communities thrive. Understanding different cultures and generations is key to succeeding in today's workplace. To grow, employees must continually develop their skills, and libraries are here to help support people on this journey.
Career Success Month 2025 aims to highlight the value of library resources in "Upskilling and Uplifting the Future Workforce" by equipping job seekers with knowledge to meet industry demands and foster personal and professional growth. Whether seeking new tech skills, learning a language, aiming for a promotion, or switching careers, Maryland libraries are offering a variety of relevant classes from January through February.
This year, Career Success Month will feature two dynamic keynote speakers. On Jan. 21, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Walter Simmons, CEO of Employ Prince George's, will serve as keynote speaker. On Feb. 3, 2025, author and business consultant Michael V. Morgan will speak from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Both events will be virtual. Registration information is coming soon.
